Washing Your Leotard: Do's and Don’ts

When washing a leotard, here are some simple do's and don'ts to keep in mind:

Don’t

• Use regular detergent
• Tumble dry
• Use fabric softeners
• Use bleach
• Iron
• Hang over a radiator
• Store in a plastic bag

Do

• Use cold water
• Hand wash
• Use a mild liquid detergent like Ivory Snow
• Rinse until all bubbles have cleared away
• Lay leotard flat on towel, roll up towel and gently squeeze out water.
• Let leotard air dry on towel.
