5 Fascinating Facts About Ohio State Women's Gymnastics Team

1. One of the more visible symbols of Ohio State athletics is Brutus Buckeye, the school's mascot. Brutus first appeared in 1965. Selection for Brutus Buckeye is accomplished by a tryout process.
2. The Buckeyes participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I in all sports and the Big Ten Conference in most sports.
3. The Steelwood Athletic Training facility, home to the Buckeye women's gymnastics team. The complex is complete with its own administrative offices, training room, locker rooms and three private gyms for all three teams.
4. The team opens the 2022 season on the road, visiting Arkansas on Jan. 7.
5. Penn State kicks-off its six-meet Big Ten schedule on the road against Ohio State on Jan. 22.
